Baxter & Woodman Announces Department Manager Promotions

Baxter & Woodman, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of the following individuals to the position of Department Manager: Susan Coyle, Alex Ericksen, Mike Kenny, Thomas Melone, Eric Rush, Anand Sampath, and Kaitlin Wright.

As Department Managers, these individuals will oversee the performance, quality, and productivity of their teams while guiding departmental goals that contribute to Baxter & Woodman’s continued growth and success.

Susan Coyle, PE, CFM, Water Resources – Wisconsin:  Susan brings 25 years of specialized experience in floodplain mapping, hydraulic modeling, and watercourse planning, supported by a strong record of public‑sector collaboration and regulatory compliance.

Alex Ericksen, PE, Transportation – Illinois: Alex has 17 years of transportation engineering experience encompassing highway design, traffic analysis, bridge inspection, surveying, and construction observation, with expertise in developing and managing Phase I and II highway, local road, and intersection projects.

Mike Kenny, PE,  Design-Build – Illinois: With 13 years of experience, Mike delivers complex infrastructure improvements spanning inflow/infiltration studies, lift station upgrades, and multi‑mile water main replacements, supported by hands‑on permitting and MS4 expertise essential to integrated design‑build delivery.

Thomas Melone, Data Analytics – Illinois: Thomas has 6 years of experience supporting business processes by analyzing and interpreting data, developing insights, creating reports and visualizations, and collaborating with stakeholders to align data‑driven solutions with organizational strategies.

Eric Rush, PE, Construction – Florida: Eric has 28 years of state and local roadway construction management experience, overseeing major reconstruction projects, managing documentation and contractor processes, developing construction policies and tools, and supervising staff across transportation and facility projects.

Anand Sampath, PE, Construction – Illinois: Anand has 16 years of experience providing roadway and bridge construction engineering inspection and construction materials testing on complex projects for municipalities and large agencies.

Kaitlin Wright, PE, Water – Illinois: Kaitlin has 11 years of experience in planning and designing water and wastewater infrastructure, with a focus on Lead Service Line Replacement programs nationwide.
